Michel Julien acquired Moderco in 1985 and in a short time expanded it from being an Eastern Canadian manufacturer to one servicing all of Canada and then to today’s truly International company. Michel retired as President of Moderco in 2014 but remains active as a consultant and advisor especially as it pertains to International sales efforts. His impact on the present day successes of Moderco remains evident in many ways. From the very beginning he had a plan and a vision which, through his leadership and patient guidance resulted in Moderco now being a highly respected and accepted company in the Operable Partition Industry. He is best recognized as being a “people person”, always optimistic and ever eager to assist even today where golf is now as important as partitions. Moderco owes a great deal to Michel, continues to seek out and welcome his guidance and wishes him well in his retirement years.

Bill Fuhr: A true “Texas Giant” in the Operable Partition/Moveable Wall industry, Bill Fuhr the Moderco Distributor/Partner in Dallas/Fort Worth, has chosen to leave behind the day to day challenges of our business and begin the process of retiring. Bill is quick to note that he will be staying on to assist the new Moderco Distributor/ Partner, Chatham Worth, for as long as it takes to complete a smooth transition and train their personnel. Bill’s career in Architectural sales is long and extensive. After graduating from The University of North Texas, his second job was selling flooring systems used in School Gymnasiums and on running tracks. But more significantly the company he was employed with was also a Modernfold Distributor. Bill because of his flooring sales accomplishments was soon asked to take on an even larger challenge and grow the Operable Partition portion of the business. A true partnership was formed as he immediately developed not only the skills but also a true fondness for the product: Bill was a born Moveable Wall guy. He was then promoted to be the President of the Operable Partition Division and subsequently grew it be the most successful in its field in all of North Texas. In 2000 Bill ventured out on his own, establishedFuhr Inc. and began promoting AEC and Holcomb & Hoke (Foldoor) products. And then in 2005 Bill, to the delight of all of us, agreed to partner with Moderco thus beginning a relationship that has grown and endured for the past 13 years. To quote Bill “It has been a joy to work with Moderco, their people who are now my forever friends and promote and install nothing but the highest quality products”. Bill will now be able to travel, spend time at his lake house, collect guitars and work as a consultant only when he so chooses. We at Moderco wish Bill & Karen happiness in their retirement, thank them for their friendship and loyalty to Moderco and are pleased to induct Bill into the Moderco Wall of Fame.
Rob Pelletier: Tragically in January of 2008 Rob Pelletier, founder, President and principal owner of RPC Houston Texas, passed away at the young age of 42. Rob was a husband, father, employer, responsible corporate citizen, friend and valued south Texas distributor partner of Moderco. He started his construction career as a hands on installer of Skylights. Shortly thereafter he established his own sales and installation company (RPC) and expanded his product portfolio to include operable partitions. In 2004 RPC and Moderco established an exclusive distributor/manufacturer partnership encompassing south and western Texas which due to Rob’s foresight and vision remains active and extremely successful to this day. Rob was truly a Texan, insisting on “doing his part”, picked up the tools, climbed the scaffolding, always “hands-on” as well as managing and growing RPC. He worked hard, was a true family man – nothing was more important that his Robin, Matthew, Christopher and Grace - but also played hard. One of personal accomplished dreams was to own Texas property so he purchased a ranch in East Texas, raising cattle, hunting and fishing, riding his horses, hosting Texas style parties for family and associates. Rob’s spirit continues to drive RPC. He was truly a loved husband and father, employer and friend to so many including all at Moderco. He is missed each and every day. Moderco is pleased and honored to induct Rob Pelletier as the first distributor partner on the Moderco Wall of Fame.
Dan Carter: Dan’s successful career in Moveable/Operable walls began in 1994 when he was appointed the General Manager of Kwik Wall of Illinois, an installing distributor of KW Operable Wall products in Central Illinois. In 1998 he joined the parent company, Kwik Wall out of Springfield Il and assumed the responsibility for managing product sales in the US Midwest. From 2005 to 2008 he was employed by Curtition as a regional VP of Sales and supervised and personally promoted their complete line of accordion door products throughout the US. However, he missed not having the opportunity to promote a complete line of moveable wall products and joined Panelfold as a regional sales manager from 2008 to 2011. In 2012 we at Moderco proudly welcomed him as US Director of Sales until his retirement in 2021. His results at Moderco were extraordinary, as he consistently exceeded all goals and expectations which contributed to Moderco’s growth significantly and expansion. Dan retired from Moderco in 2021
Barry Napier: Barry’s entire career was spent in the moveable operable wall industry. He started this lifetime career when still a teenager in Indiana working part time for Holcomb & Hoke (Foldoor). After graduation from college, he joined Foldoor on a full time basis, learning the business in every way in more depth and successfully completed all tasks and challenges presented to him. Desiring more experience in the distributor side of the business he left for a brief period and worked for a Central Indiana Distributor. In 1992 and until 2005 he was employed by Kwik Wall as their US Director of Sales. Desiring to work for a larger company with additional opportunities, Barry joined Hufcor in 2005 as a regional sales Manager but quickly rose up the corporate ladder to become Hufcor’s National Business Development Manager and then Vice President of North American Distributor sales. With Hufcor’s demise in 2021, Moderco was fortunate and immensely proud to welcome Barry on board as our US Director of Sales until his unfortunate passing in 2024.
